Due to the tremendous influx of emails I’ve been getting, I can’t fully assess the fate of Fall Out Boy with 100% confidence. I’ve been a fan as long as they’ve been active, and I must say, I’d be lying if I didn’t feel my heart break just a tad. Pete is usually cryptic, but now, I think he’s more heart-felt and deliberate than ever.

Now, for the record, Hopelessly Hopeful will NOT close down due to this new piece of evidence. I think it’d be the wrong decision considering this could possibly be a shock-factor statement that is meant for us fans to conjecture on. Who knows? I’ve been a dedicated fan since 2003. Rumors of a possible break-up doesn’t mean I should STOP being a fan. The same goes for you fans. Although I can’t speak for all of you, I suggest you consider the same rationale. Whether the come back from their break or not, or whether they come back short one member or not, always remember the band members don’t make the band… the music does. If they don’t make anymore music, then okay. We still have the ones they’ve already made.

Provided if they return from their break, we can move on as if none of these rumors surfaced. But we should also prepare for the “inevitable.” Feel free to be upset. I will not rob you of that right, but do remember that eventually, we all have to come to terms with this possible situation.
