…my beloved desktop computer just crashed majorly over the weekend in the midst of doing some massive site updating overhaul. Truthfully, I’m not sure if my computer can be repaired (this has happened before and by sheer luck, I did something and it worked… now, nothing). Luckily, I’ve backed up all my files before said “Crash,” however, the site updates I had lined up were destroyed in the crash (stupid me… didn’t save them). I am now desktop computer-…less. I am actually posting this damn update on my netbook (trust me… not a good device for doing REAL site updates).

I wanted to post this as I don’t want you all to think I’ve forgotten about the site as I haven’t been around much for HH and the boards. Before 2009 ended, life has certainly taken a turn for the worse and it’s been tough trying to recover emotionally and financially. I’ve gotten a few interviews here and there for jobs and recruiting offices. No call backs yet. I’ve requested a couple forbearances on my student loans and will be filing a deferment soon once I get all my stuff straight. Slowly, but surely, my family and I are getting back on track. If not one day at a time, then one baby step at a time. As I’ve mentioned before, in times of need, my family comes first.

As for my computer dilemma, my mom was given a laptop by her roommate and will be passing on her current one to me which will be sufficient enough to update HH, IA, and whatnot. Until we can come up with the money to buy me a new desktop, this hand-me-down laptop will have to do.
